things ive seen

without giving too much detail, because everything i see is classified, here are some of the things i've seen since starting my internship:

a robbery
alot of burglary (robbery and burglary are different)
a burglary that included the home of a white supremacist
criminal mischief, including EIGHT graffiti cases in an hour
recovery of a stolen vehicle
elderly abuse
TOO much domestic violence
assault (DV and assault are not the same thing)
a car chase
lots and lots and lots of stolen property
a string of break ins on motor homes
a hoarders house that was burglarized
a kicked in door
and
i went to a detectives meeting and loved it.
(im sure ive seen more things, i just cant think of them at the moment)

i seriously LOVE my internship. if i could, i would spend every single day there.
ive yet to get an echo yet (dead body) i apparently never work on death days.
i am so happy i chose to major in forensic science, it is such a fun and interesting career. the money is not the best, but i would rather have a job i love than wake up dreading to go to work. aaand maybe i can just marry someone rich to make up for the lack of money, please?

new year, new you

new years was a bit rushed for us.

we (10 of us) went to vegas for 24 hours and it was freeeezing.

it was very eventful to say the least, and it may or may not have involved someone ending up in a childrens hospital, girls kissing girls and 'seeing fireworks', a seven mile walk down the strip with no jackets, BLOODY feet, spray on tans, getting too comfortable with 10 strangers, and the phrase "no i didnt kiss that read headed f*ck".

oh my goodness, great times.

this year my new years resolutions are:

work out 5 hours a week

&

give up soda

i am giving up soda out of sheer necessity for my poorly enameled teeth, and working out for my not-as-high-as-it-could-be self esteem.

this year is a big one for me, im going to be graduating school, hopefully getting a career, and starting my very own "grown up" life.
